Mission Discernment – A Resource for Decision-making in the Catholic Tradition has been developed for use by the Catholic Health Australia Stewardship Board and CHA members as required. The framework is seen as serving a dual purpose. Through regular application to specific decisions, it will contribute to formation of trustees, directors, senior leaders and staff in the Catholic vision. It will also provide a common approach to making decisions to ensure alignment with Catholic ethics, traditions and teachings, thereby providing tangible evidence of alignment with the mission of Catholic health and aged care.
The resource was developed by CHA and approved by the CHA Stewardship in 2012 and will be released in July. It is available in booklet form and as a downloadable interactive iPad application.
Feedback is encouraged and the resource will be formally evaluated in late 2013.
