July 27, 2022Catholic Health Australia has appointed Jason Kara as Director, Aged Care to replace Nick Mersiades who is leaving after a number of years service.
For the last four years, Jason has been employed as the Director Strategy & Design, Housing & Homelessness, Strategy Policy & Commissioning at the NSW Department of Communities & Justice (DCJ).
Prior to that he was the Director, Ageing, Carers and the Disability Council NSW at the NSW Department of Family and Community Services (FACS).
Jason has previously been employed as a Policy Adviser in the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade; the Director Business Improvement at FACS, as well as a Senior Adviser in the Office of the Premier of New South Wales.
He has a Master of Public Policy from UNSW, a Graduate Diploma in Public Administration from the University of Sydney, as well as Bachelor degrees in Commerce and Arts from the University of Sydney.
