Catholic Health Australia is partnering with HESTA to launch a new category of award recognising the sector’s commitment to social justice.
To mark UN’s World Day of Social Justice tomorrow [Saturday, February 20] and in recognition of the Catholic mission the award will recognise innovation and impact in social justice.
Last year collectively our members delivered almost $70m in services back to the community through more than 100 social outreach programs both here in Australia and in the region.
The efforts go beyond the core work of providing care in hospitals and aged care and are testament to the continuation of the ministry of healing that is at the heart of our member organisations.
The 2021 HESTA Award for Catholic Health Australia will recognise an individual, or team, who has shown creativity, commitment, and extraordinary accomplishment in effecting positive social change.
The top five submissions will be invited to present on their project at the CHA National Conference which is being held in Brisbane on Monday 23 August to Wednesday 25 August 2021.
Further details including the judging criteria will be announced shortly.
