Recruiting for Mission Fit: Strengthening our Culture in Catholic Health and Aged Care is a resource to help ensure mission alignment is incorporated throughout recruitment exercises at all levels of the organisation. The resource works from the premise that the mission culture of our organisations depends on the people we have working for us – so ensuring that each step of a recruitment process builds in mission alignment will help us recruit the best people to build this culture.
Recruiting for Mission Fit: Strengthening our Culture in Catholic Health and Aged Care is a practical resource designed to help people at all levels in the organisation who are involved in recruitment. Sometimes the mission component gets left to the Director of Mission or members of the mission team. This document is about helping all people within the organisation build in mission to their recruitment and selection strategies. While it is not a human resource management document, it does follow the standard steps involved in a recruitment and selection process to enable people to recognise how awareness of ‘mission fit’ can be prioritised and built into these standard steps.
Mission is what makes our Catholic organisations distinctive and unless we are recruiting people who “get the mission thing,” we will lose that distinctiveness.
